Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker Woodpecker
This woodpecker has been my companion outside my office window for the last month. Every morning there he is pecking away at a palm tree.
The Yellow-Bellied woodpecker earns its living by drilling many rows of small holes in a tree trunk, then returning to lick up the sap that drips from the open wounds.
